The list may vary depending on the format of the farewell — we will clarify it at the consultation.
Issued by a doctor after death is confirmed at home, in hospital, or at the morgue. Without it death cannot be registered at ZAGS.
Registered at ZAGS based on the medical certificate. Official document for all further procedures.
Issued together with the civil death certificate. Required to apply for the burial benefit at SFR or through an employer.
Issued by cemetery or crematorium administration after a site is chosen. For cemeteries in Adler and Sochi — through the relevant local services.
Crematorium application, medical and civil death certificates. A non-contagion certificate may be required.
Applicant's passport, application, Form No. 11 certificate, receipts and contract for funeral services paid.
Prepare the deceased's passport, OMS policy (if available), the applicant's passport, and documents proving relationship if required. If death occurred at home — the passport of the person who called the doctor.
The exact list depends on the farewell format: earth burial, cremation, state-funded burial, or interregional transport. The agent will compile a list for your situation on the first call.
If some documents are not immediately available — do not panic. ZAGS and SFR accept alternative proof of identity; we will explain what can be provided instead of the deceased's passport.
The medical death certificate is issued when a doctor is called to the home, at a clinic, or at the hospital where death occurred. The civil death certificate is registered at ZAGS — offices operate in Adler and central Sochi.
The burial benefit — at SFR or the deceased's employer. Burial permit — at the administration of the chosen cemetery or crematorium.
The funeral agent accompanies the family to government offices or acts by power of attorney — this saves time and reduces errors on forms.
The medical death certificate is issued on the day death is confirmed. ZAGS usually registers death the same or next business day when the medical document is correct.
A cemetery burial permit is often issued on the day of application. Crematorium booking depends on the facility schedule — the agent coordinates dates in parallel with ZAGS registration.
We coordinate all stages so no days are lost before the funeral. The standard timeline from death to burial is 2–3 days.
In addition to medical and civil death certificates you will need a crematorium application, the responsible person's passport, and a certificate confirming no pacemaker is present.
A non-contagion certificate may be required. The agent prepares applications and agrees the procedure time with the crematorium.
After cremation, a separate permit is needed to bury the urn at a cemetery — we process it with the rest of the package.
The agent compiles the document list, prepares applications, accompanies you to ZAGS, helps with the benefit and burial or cremation permits. You will not face queues and forms alone.
If there is an error on the medical certificate, the agent helps contact the doctor or morgue to correct it — before registration at ZAGS.
Document processing can be ordered separately or as part of turnkey funeral arrangement.
